International Show Jumping Competion „Scharlachrennen Nördlingen“
CEO Rupps hands over the honorary prize of Norit Südmoto Felix Haßmann The foremost traditional show jumping and dressage competition in southern Germany took place from July 24-27, 2008 on the Kaiserwiese in Nördlingen, Germany near the headquarters of Südmo Holding GmbH. The Scharlachrennen is one of the oldest equstrian sport events in Germany and riders came from 13 countries to compete. A crowd of 8,500 attended this year’s international premier tournament on the great Kaiserwiese in Nördlingen, Germany. The Scarlet Race was put on for the first time in its 500-year history as an international three-star tournament with three competitions of the great and medium tours for the FEI world rankings including the youngster tour for 7- and 8-year-old up-and-coming horses of the best international riders. Finally, on Sunday, July 27, 2008, the international jumping competition was carried out for points to win the Norit Südmo Prize. Felix Haßmann on Horse Gym’s Aribo was best in 42.12 seconds. The CEO of Südmo Holding GmbH, Oliver Rupps, handed over the honorary prize to the proud winner. Norit Südmo has been actively supporting the Scarlet Race for many years to draw attention to international sport in the region.

New Managing Director at Norit Südmo
Norit Südmo, a leading manufacturer of valves and components, appointed Oliver Rupps as the managing director of Südmo Holding, which divides into the companies Südmo Components and Südmo Projects in January. The 45-year-old businessman has long-term and extensive management experiences. He began his career as a bank clerk trainee then studied business administration in Germany, France and the USA. Following this, Oliver Rupps, who was born in Stuttgart, worked for more than 10 years in a corporate planning position in purchasing and logistic departments at an automotive manufacturer. After that he had managing director positions at a medium-sized shipping company and at an automotive component supplier in the hydraulic systems field. “With Oliver being such an experienced manager, we look forward to continue the successful development of Norit Südmo in the coming years, and to strongly support the growth of the Norit Group ,” René Kuipers, CEO of Norit NV, remarked when introducing the new managing director to the Norit Südmo team in Riesbürg.
